Some Spam Is Too Good to Delete

We've been getting lots of comment spam on this site recently. Usually we delete it as soon as it comes in, but two comments that came in today deserve to be immortalized.
Here's the first, from someone selling boots: "In this article, I learned the knowledge that will good for myself. Thanks to the author of this article. You are my lucky." I've never been someone's lucky before, so this is oddly touching.
Here's the second, from an online term paper mill: "Thanks because that’s the interesting. If you need to get a excellent paper all about this topic you can use online plagiarism, and i'll approve you to check it in [Web address deleted]! unlike those services, they suggest wonderful quality guaranty that your work is free of plagiarism." Wow, you can plagiarize without plagiarizing! That is innovative! Of course, such illiterate ramblings might put off some potential buyers, but students looking to find term papers online probably aren't the most discerning customers.
Sorry if I've strayed from our normally earnest work here at LFA. I just couldn't let these comments fade to black.

A Village Route to Early Childhood Education
In the 1990s, we at Davenport Community Schools noticed a trend: Children were coming to kindergarten unprepared to learn. A troublingly low number of our district’s children (more than half of whom receive free or reduced price lunch) had preschool experience. Recognizing the importance of early childhood education in ensuring students are ready to succeed in school and life, we developed the Children’s Village, which includes formal preschool classes and all-day, year-round programming serving children from six weeks to five years old. Today, when a Children’s Village student arrives for the first day of kindergarten, the teacher can say, “This child is ready to learn.”
With early childhood education, students learn more, teachers accomplish more and taxpayers get more for their education tax dollar. But it takes all our students, teachers, staff, administrators, parents and partners to make the Children’s Villages a success. Indeed, it really does take a village to ensure quality early childhood education. Read more
